The Parque Ecológico Lago de Texcoco was conceived as an extensive public infrastructure project where architecture, landscape, mobility, and environmental systems operate as a unified whole. Based on the design information provided by CONAGUA, MDL developed the executive architectural project, translating the original criteria into buildable solutions for the park’s buildings, access points, bridges, roadways, service areas, and supporting facilities. The project sought to create functional and durable spaces that respond sensitively to the scale, environmental conditions, and public character of the site.
The architectural project was developed in coordination with the civil, structural, electrical, hydraulic, sanitary, and specialized engineering teams. MDL consolidated the information from each discipline, reviewed interfaces between systems, and coordinated the documentation to identify conflicts and maintain consistency across plans, models, and technical deliverables. This integrated process improved constructability, reduced design discrepancies, and supported the coordinated execution of the park’s buildings, infrastructure, and public spaces.
