MDL developed the executive projects on the basis of the design documents, producing the full construction documentation with a focus on maximizing usable space and enabling on-site budget control. Decisions were brought forward into coordination meetings so that problems were resolved before they ever reached the construction site. One of the most significant achievements came in civil engineering, where construction volumes were optimized under BIM methodology, revealing clear areas of opportunity and savings. Through a collaborative workflow between the designer, builders, and BIM coordination team, we aligned criteria, consolidated project information, and optimized construction processes. This approach not only reduced risks and rework but also enabled more informed, efficient, and timely decision-making, directly impacting project quality and generating a stronger, more measurable return on investment.
The implementation carried out by Cinépolis and MDL marked a milestone in the development of their projects. Building on MDL's experience in construction virtualization, the team identified and introduced the modifications needed to refine and improve Cinépolis's internal processes, translating them into measurably better results. The precise integration between architecture, structure, and MEP allowed for anticipating conflicts, optimizing construction processes, and ensuring execution aligned with the client's objectives. The result is a better coordinated, more efficient project with greater technical and financial control, where technology is not just a tool, but a direct enabler of value at every stage of development.
